A motorist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Vernon in Friday.
On March 20, police responded to a collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of 25 Street and 35 Avenue.
Police said the motorcycle was travelling on 35 Avenue when it was struck by a blue Kia Rio crossing 25 Street. The rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the vehicle initially fled the scene and was later found unoccupied a short distance away. One person has since been detained and released pending further investigation.
