Four people were arrested after search warrants were executed in multiple cities, including Enderby, where investigators discovered illegal firearms and illicit drugs.
On May 21, 2026, investigators executed search warrants at multiple locations in Abbotsford, Surrey and Enderby, dismantled a clandestine laboratory and seized a significant cache of firearms, explosives, illicit drugs and proceeds of crime.
The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) said officers seized 44 firearms, including privately made and prohibited firearms, as well as prohibited devices, including 11 suppressors and a number of over-capacity cartridge magazines.
Investigators also seized ammunition and 65 tubes of emulsion explosives.
The investigation began in February 2026 after the Illegal Firearms Enforcement Team (IFET) identified an individual believed to be involved in firearms trafficking and the production of controlled substances.
CFSEU-BC said the sophisticated clandestine synthetic drug laboratory, which was under construction, would have had the capacity to produce large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA and gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB).
Other items seized included approximately $4,000 in cash, gold and silver of varying weights, a stolen Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss, five additional vehicles, a motorcycle and multiple electronic devices.
“Crime groups continue to evolve their methods, producing highly dangerous synthetic drugs while arming themselves with illegal firearms to protect and expand their criminal enterprises,” Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, media relations officer for CFSEU-BC, said.
“By dismantling this sophisticated clandestine laboratory and seizing dozens of illegal firearms, explosives, and large quantities of illicit drugs, investigators have significantly disrupted an organized crime operation capable of causing widespread harm in our communities.”
Officials said all four individuals were released pending further investigation.
