Vernon Recreation Centre Pool closes for annual maintenance

The Vernon Recreation Centre pool will be closed for a few days to allow staff to complete planned maintenance and repairs.

In a statement, the City said the pool is not open to visitors from Sept. 8 to Sept. 10.

This work is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain the existing facility and ensure it remains operational for residents and visitors.

Officials said active pool passes will be extended to account for the closure.

All other areas of the Vernon Recreation Centre will remain open, including scheduled fitness and recreation programs.

The City is also continuing its construction of the new Active Living Centre, which remains on schedule for opening late fall, significantly expanding aquatic, fitness and wellness opportunities.
