Disc golf league takes flight tomorrow

The North Okanagan Disc Golf Association is hosting a league night Friday at the new Chip Trail Disc Golf Course behind Pleasant Valley Secondary School in Armstrong.

The nine-hole course is on property owned by the K̓wsaltktnéws ne Secwepemcúl’ecw School District 83 and is open to the public.

In a social media post, the association said club members will be on hand to help guide new players. “The club will have some discs available for use that evening if you do not have your own,” the post said.

Check-in is at 5:15 p.m. and play starts at 5:30 p.m.

“New players can play casually without buying in for league action.”

The association added that players who want to buy in for competitive league play will pay $5, and a $5 pass-through fee is waived for association members.

The annual fee is $30.

The North Okanagan Disc Golf Association created the course with funding from the Armstrong Lions Club.
